Old School Melodic Hardcore..

Guys, please give a listen and let me know what you think. Comments on levels, sounds etc. Any help would be appreciated..

As of this moment, I think the bass guitar needs to come up and I am clipping a little on the overheads with the eq I used I also think the over's are too loud.... I will back off in the next version. Any other comments welcomed.

I software L2'd it to get some levels up. This is a rough mix..

Thanks,
Jim

I will be bringing the guitars up a little. The over's will be coming down about 3 db. So that will help the guitars as well.

Thanks,
any other comments... Please speak up..

I like the tune!

Drums are clear. Hat is pretty loud. guess cymbals as a whole are loud? did the toms have clear heads on them?

kick is a little 'small. but, the sound of the drums sorta fits the song.

sounds like something Anthrax would have put out long ago (shouting and stuff). I dig it. i would buy this album.

Bring the guitars up a little bit please. thanks!

Thanks Darylh..

Yes, the hat is loud and that will get tamed when I bring the overs down a bit.

The guitars will actually stand out more with the way they are panned in regards to the cymbals when they are turned down..

Tom skins were clear evans, I believe.. why do you ask?

Also, no samples used anywhere..

overall sounds good.

id get the kick slammin a bit more and turn the hats down.

id put more verb on the snare, esp in the opening part. id put some verb on the toms in the opening part also to give more space.

i think the gtr is fine.

Sounds good, I second the OH down a little and kick up a little. I kinda like the drums being on the dry side but a little more verb wouldn't hurt anything.
