What sub-genre of rock?

Been getting pretty excited working with these guys. It's still early days (gtrs need re-tracking etc..) but I wanted to get some opinions/ feedback on where you think this may fit in terms of market and radio.
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, its pretty good guy!

Definitely a mosh of Saliva meets Thrice, hanging out with some AFI thrown in. I think market wise (since you asked), you are looking at a demographic of 14-21, young kids primarily. Depending on the look of the band, and I do mean physical appearance. It might do very well. Its not so far left or right that it has potential. Radio, might be another voodoo altogether, College Radio probably wont play it because of its commercial style and commercial radio wont play anything that isn't signed (for the most part). I would try local Variety shows.
However, all of this is dependent on the fact that the band have a following....

OVER ALL A plus work...

Very interesting music, sounds good too, Id like to hear the vox just a touch louder, but great work none the less.

I don't see why JJJ would'nt play it or FBI radio or 2ser, send it to all of them. Also the J's unearthed is online now a few songs on there have been played on air lately.

Who's the band?

Thanks for that breakdown. Radio here is a lil different in that the government radio station JJJ will play alot of local content as will commercial radio. Both have their little niches that they like to fill.

Although the band hasn't chosen a name yet when it does come together I will post a link.
I sometimes wonder if JJJ would find it too "rock". They seem to be on a "alt-dork" kick these days?
Either way I am pushing them to make their live show as convincing as their recorded material and to make at least one innovative and humorus clip to get onto rage and V if it's good enough.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

There is some simillarities with the new Papa Roch album but with a more screaming vocals.

The most important thing is to make the song work for those who are going to buy it. Period. You're not the artist; it's not your song. If the artist is happy and the label is happy and people respond to the music, then you have done your job. Sitting around playing with your toys isn't going to help make the song a hit.” - CLA

Those are "demo" guitars. Singer/writer played em first through a pod. I then added two more tracks with their new guitar player. He was using a marshall with an SG. The two are blended for the chorus sections. Amp mic was 57-neve 1272- track.
Retracking was necessary because of the write-as-you-go method that I employ with them.
Have recently re-tracked the guitars with just the marshall (the mesa was too squishy and blown out) and they leap out of the speakers.

I totally agree with luc, ;) Quite good recording, the song isn't quite that good though, but hey who's to judge!?
I guess if you like "big dumb rock" then you can certianly judge but if you are looking for depth and complexity then you would be looking for something that is not even intended.
Their intent is simple punchy rock with lyrical hooks that don't need deciphering.
To that end I would say that they have succeded.
