Another Drum Mix

Another drum mix that I have done recently.

Any feedback is welcome.

Gear used:

MOTU 8-pre
(2) Oktava MK-012's - Overheads
(1) Shure SM-57 - Snare
(1) Shure SM-57 - Rack Tom
(1) Sennheiser E604 - Floor Tom
(1) Shure SM-52 - Kick
(1) Rode NT-1 - Room Mic

All ran into Digital Performer 5.11

Believe it or not, I used the built-in pre's that come with the MOTU 8-Pre.

I do have a dbx 286A and Joe Meek VC1Q, but decided to not use them on this tracking session.

was it all in the box, or did you use external compression or anything? cause it sounds great.

All in the box. I used the MasterWorks Compressor, Gate, and EQ that comes with Digital Performer 5.11 to mix/edit the tracks.

I don't, unfortunately. I'll add guitars and bass to the drum track over the weekend, and repost the new track for ya :)

overall it sounds really good i would just say turn up the kick a little bit and turn down the toms a hair because they really overpower everything and the kick will disappear in the mix
other than that its got a really good sound
