Need Some Input. I'm Burnt

I am burnt listening to this mix. Give me some input. This is an Alternative Rock song. Kinda like Muse meets AFI.

The hats are a little bright for my ears. I could also use a little more snare, its wayyyy close to what I would run with though.

The rhythm guitar sounds a little muddy. Just a tad though.

I love this mix.

Seriously.

It sounds pretty good.
Pretty mainstream with today's alternative rock for sure.

I think the vocals could use a bit of presence, and I'd lose whatever that static sounding synth sound is during the break section. Maybe I'm just not a fan of white noise...
Overall though, good track...gonna have it mastered?

Thanks for the input guys. I am going to mess with it a little bit. I agree with the Hats but the drummer loves those sizzley hats. Going to give the guitars a bit of sizzle.
I have no say on the synth parts. They brought them in. I may try and get them to redo them with better sounds.

Here is the second song. I am going to sleep. 3 more tomorrow.

Way too much bass for me on the second mix, like really sub. Just too much of it for me.

Are your overheads really tight in the stereo spectrum?

Yes they are. I dont like mixing the OH to far apart. I am using them for more cymbals and I dont make them wider than the kit. I dont like hearing drums spread across the whole spectrum. Just the rooms.

I will check the bass in the morning. Ears are toasty. Thanks for heads up on the bass.
