Lemme know whatcha think.
I think you're a bad ass for doing that for me. I owe you a beer or two if I'm ever in your neck of the woods. Which coincidentally I may be within the next 6 month or so...

As far as making the kick not so jumpy, just play with the attack in Reason or what?

Really easy to go back to the source and change things on this track but... Is there any sort of plugs to mess with the Amplitude envelope of a sound? (just out of curiosity more than anything)

I'll mess around with your suggestions and report back. Thanks so much for sticking with this thread man, I really do appreciate it a ton.

I work for a company called Swank Audio Visuals (being from St. Louis you may have heard of em) They're based in your home town. They're talking about sending me out there for some training in the not so distant future.

Feelin' a little closer to what I hear in my head.

Added some delay to the shaker, threw some quick compression on the kick to make it a little less jumpy. Brought the strings down. And killed some hi's on the HH and snare/ clap.

Yea, I like where it's going. The kick I was talking about the "performance", not the sound of the kick itself. It's just not right, feels to quick or something, should be a little more laid back. It's kinda sticking out of the beat from a performance aspect..

Oh, I see. Well I like it a little better with the comp I added so all is well that ends well.

I see what you're saying now about the performance. i'll go back and see if I can get it to sit in the pocket a little better

This is quickly becoming DJui's track

Just playin' though, always solid advice

I just used those samples in a session to replace a troublesome kick, and I'll be damned if they weren't just what the doctor ordered!

I'll post the song in a few when I get it all mixed up.
