| Really liked the recording and vocal work - excellent! There are quite a few incorrect chords in there, not least the fact that the final chord of the 4-bar chorus pattern is a G/A. The intro is also very sparse. I have transcribed the piano part note for note from the live recording Elton did on the 'Old Grey whistle Test' DVD, which is performance like yours of only piano and vocals (in my opinion superior). If you have Sibelius 4 I could email it to you? Guy |

| Nice. What a great song. That album (Madman Across the Water) is great, in fact. |

i know that he probably imbellishes the chord progressions quite a bit (i have heard live recordings of his) and i bet that makes his piano part much more 'lush' sounding. Quote:
if you liked this i did another Elton cover which i posted a while back: Rocket Man cheers. ~j.d.

| It's OK but.... ...You're playing the wrong chord/voicing in the chorus during the words "Highway". Instead of a straight A minor there, try G major OVER A (octave bass). I used to do karaoke for a living and was handed Tiny Dancer as a project. I had to do everything except guitars and vox (drums included...what a job THAT was...half brushes/half sticks...very jazzy actually). I'd be glad to post it if you want. You're welcome to my tracks if you'd like! Your fine voice would cap it off quite nicely! Rock On! ![]() Last edited by 88fingerz; 8th January 2007 at 04:01 PM.. | What I meant was that the arrangement for Piano only and vocal is a superior version of the song..... |
