Just got a MOOG

So I made this:

You can also hear my killer custom 1176 with the Neve 1272 output stage on the programming.

All tracked through line in Germanium.

This song has a very robot lounge sound to it. I imagine some robots sitting in a lounge in some far away space station enjoying a martini of non volatile random access memoy.

I love it, very old school 8-bit nintendo sounding, but in a good way. Kinda like the Postal Service sound. Adding vocals would be a nice touch too.

Hey thanks for all the comments guys!

Yeah, I really need vocals. I can't come up with vocal lines - don't know what it is, maybe I just need more practice at it, but I'd love to collaborate with a vocalist (I have one in mind but he lives 5000 miles away...)

Pretty much all my recent stuff is in the realm of "might be a good song with some vox."

I actually got one of the cheaper Moogs out there - the Opus.

They go for about $450 on eBay these days; couple years ago you could pick one up for $300. It's polyphonic which I find WAY more useful than even the Voyager or the more expensive Moogs. Fun toy.
