| wow... that shit rocks! i just went back and listened to the original to compare the two, and i think i may prefer your remix to the original.. can you explain a bit about how you pieced this together? (what tools you used, what the source material was etc)... of course the original track had a clearer, more even tone, but i like the grittiness of this mix.. the bass seems to be scraping at the bottom of the barrel, really "grimey"...... but it is the same bass track from The Runners' Four, right? .....sounds a bit different to me in your mix.... tell me more! ~j.d. |

| Lives for gear | happy you like it i have tracks they used, but stem tracks. all vocals, all guitars, all drums...as 4 or so wav files. i split each of these files in 4 spectrum peices (low, mid, mid-high, and high) and went from there. i used a lot of distortion and compression to make a cohesive mix and let all of my eqing from the various peices slam together. i also used some transient enhancers on the drums to make them bunch through the mix. i ran through guitar rig many peices of the guitar part -- for a very over-the top sound...you might also hear a layer of modulated bitcrushing ![]() nothing much more to tell..i used psp audioware vintagewarmer on the 2buss with some tritone digital hydrotone to sweeten the lows and highs once again i didnt spend too much time on this and the source files were pretty......shit...and stemmed...so i did what i could and once again im happy you life it -much love, -sirocco ![]() |
