| Lives for gear | hip hop mix - How'd I Do?
did this a while ago.... bang for buck equipment, some outboard, great plugs, and patience. too sibilant?, unbalanced?, too compressed? too much bass? just want some opinions. much appreciated. - Nes artist - Lex Doe You Won't Get It Back |

vocal chain. mxl v69me with NOS Mullard ~~ > RNP/RNC set to transparent ~~> EMU 1820m ~~> Nuendo. processing was URS EQs, SSL Comp/EQ, outboard was ART PRO VLA, and Speck EQ. Reverb was Waves IR with a plate for vox, very subtle. I've gotten Altiverb since, and will be using that more often. Vocals were compressed because the vocalist is very dynamic (plus his producer asked for it this way). Rough master in wavelab 5, subtly using LinMB, psp vintage warmer, SSL Channel, and L2.....dither was Ozone3 Mbit. anyone else?? |
