Here is a recording I did for some members of my Woodwind Quintet. It is the Trio for Oboe, Flute and Piano by Madeline Dring. Listen This was done with: Mics: Matcher pair of Earthworks QTC-1 mics. Mic Pre: Earthworks 1022 Converters: Lavry Blue Please let me know what you think.

What is the application that pops up when you go to that link? Do you have an MP3 you can post?

Sorry about that. I just used the link I already had to my streaming audio server. It used Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher. I will upload an mp3 tonight.

Nicely done! thumbsup I might bring the pair up over the ensemble a bit more to balance things out better. Was this done as spaced omnis, A-B omni?

To answer your question on the spaced omni's, yes indeed that is how it was set up. I think I used about 55mm spacing. I've heard that a good placement for spaced pairs is between 50 - 60 mm. Do you agree on that? Also for those of you that don't have windows media player, I have attached an MP3. Thanks! | |
