song w. drums in basement with low ceiling

I'm recording drums for a friend's project. This is a very rough take of my playing drums on this tune. The playing is rather sloppy as I get a bit turned around with the Latin feel and the toms are out of tune. But, I'm wondering if people think I'm getting decent sounds--aside from the tom tuning--for the mix engineer to work with.

Criticisms welcome.

Thanks for the replies thus far. From what I understand a low ceiling can cause unwanted early reflections that--I THINK--cause phase issues and comb filtering. Maybe someone else can explain this better.

I did float/hang two of Glenn's GIK panels above the kit to eliminate those reflections. The basement is pretty dead. I have box springs, carpet pads and two more GIK panels adjacent to the kit.

More opinions please.

yeah you get all sorts of weird stuff happening - early reflections. Low ceiling makes it hard to place the overheads etc. I also have absorbers in the ceiling - I'm going to build diffusers to.

Glenn's GIK panels looks mighty fine... he seems to be a cool guy to because he likes my music (ha!)

I recently finished some absorbers - here are some pictures:
