Valys Pretty Bones - Prog Rock/Punk/Hardcore

This is a mix I did rather a long time ago but I was really pleased with the results,
The bass bomb really is massively over-compressed and loud but otherwise, few niggles, was happy with the character and sound overall.
Used a three mic technique for the drums, with some samples lightly mixed in. (AKG D112 + 2 Samson C02's.)
One sm57 for the guitar on axis. (Fender Jaguar - Bugera v55HD - Marshall 4x12.)
Bass straight DI using Peavey Revalver for tone.
Vocals straight to an sm57 with a samson C01 in another room crushed with a compressor.

The band is called Valys and can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/valysmusicuk

My mixes are a lot cleaner and precise to the source now, but this still collars my ear as a favourite just simply due to character.
