Thread Starter | New Pop/Punk preproduction
Hi everybody. This is the first piece I upload... please have mercy... This is a recording session used to compose the song so it is a "preproduction". It means that (as you may hear!) a lot has to be changed starting from some vocal parts, some background vocals should be added and the mix itself should be maybe cleaner, less squeezed... well, I'll be glad to hear your comments Enrico (sorry for the silly lyrics, it has been requested to be like that!) http://www.tiberigroup.com/summer.mp3 |

musically it sounds great, good seperation of the cymbals, great kick/snare tone, awesome bass, etc. the vocalist is by far the worst thing they've got going, it pretty much brings it down to the level of unlistenable.

The over-all sound of the track is very decent. The vocalist isn't bad, but his performance could be much more inspired. He gets burried a lot in the good-sounding instrument mix. On my computer sound system the vocals sound like they are back in the mix except on the intrumental breaks. When the band all kicks in together... He's hard to hear in a coherent manner. I like the sound of the music... But the vox must come up in the mix. Just my 2 cents. |

Cool. Fun tune. I enjoyed the music alot. I think that the song will rock when the vocalist has more time to tweak his takes. Otherwise, I could see this one on the American Pie soundtrack (in a good way!). Great creative mixing too, your mixing brought some additional energy to the song. Mike

Hi people thanks for the replies... the singer is me... ..yes I know the vocals have to be redone (I had already announced it e , the take was made using always the first take because I had to record my ideas before they flew away ahah!)Being this a first preproduction I think it will be greatly improved... Any suggestions for improving the mix? Enrico |
