Or a bit like the new old-school bands like Bloodbath etc.... Some things I thougth of was that the guitars could be a bit stronger in the mix. And maybe the snare could have a bit more "smack" (try another sound?).... And maybe a cool constant delay on the vocals in the background. And I would consider maybe compressing the vocals harder to give the vocals that extra energy... And maybe not pan the doubled vocals that hard...Other than that, everything was cool. Good punch, good guitar sound, sweet chorused bass. What drummsounds did you use??

yeah,it's fxxking old school!!! sounds like bloodbath's RTC album. you can try adding more low end for bass and kick. maybe you can have a reference with NMF album,it sounds perfect to me. |

thanks, i have another one i might post. as far as gear used it was recorded on 16 tracks of blackface adat running through a harrison 32 console. the drums were recorded on a mackie 8-buss into a da-38 than xfered to adat later. vocal chain was u87-1073-la2a-adat. all the tracks are not eq'd. bass was a alembic-telefunken pre-la2a-adat. guitar was a warmoth-rocktron preamp/mosvalve power amp-peavey vtm 4x12 cab-sm57-1073-adat. thats it. mix was fast. i played each song 1 time through to get levels and that was it. took about 10 minutes to mix the song. the snare sounds like crap as well as the guitars to me. the best part about that recording is the bass tone. it is killer. alembic basses sound wonderfull.
