Smile Rock mix, great bass and drum sound

Here it is :
http://sylvain.raulin.free.fr/gabsly%20testmix.wav

We recently had a free day in the studio, so we began to try different mics and pres on a basic DW kit we have in there. The aim was to make the drums to sound like something between Red Hot Chili Peppers and stoner rock. We mostly do metal music so it was a really different approach there, using different mic/pre combinations.

To keep something from that session, I quickly decided to record some improvised patterns on the drums (that's me playing), and sticked the best ones to each other.
Then, the other engineer took the bass and the guitar and played some funny riffs on it. That's the result. The playing is not amazing, but I'm quite happy with the drum and bass sound. The guitars are not my taste though, lacking meds, too much in the lows.

What do you think ? I know the mix isn't perfect at all because i'm doing it at home into Logic and headphones, but well that was a try.

I'll write a description on the micing technique and gear we used if you enjoy it.

Edit : I notice a weird phase shifting into the overheads, I can't fix what the problem is. That thing already occured in a previous recording. The studio has a small room, do you think that is the problem ? I already heard that small rooms can induce phase problems :(

Ohla I know it's far from perfect lol, but I quite like the drum and bass sound. Maybe you have some comments to do on how I can improve all that ?

It wouldn't open in iTunes. Is it something other than 16/44.1?

I think the drums sound small personally. The need some beef. Bass is ok though, I think.

And don't like that guitar sound at all
