Debut Album with mics under $300, Digi002 no mods, no pres!

Hi my name is quinn waters. i am a producer, songwriter and engineer.
i just released my debut album "Race Music" under the moniker Caffeine Machine.

I wanted to make a record that was like times of old, when an album was played from start to finish, having interludes and preludes, themes playing throughout the record on different instrumentation with changing arrangements.

i wrote, recorded, produced, this album myself. The only money spent was paying the horn & string players.

i recorded the vast majority of this record (99%) in my south philly bedroom, aside from the strings which were recorded in my friends south philly bedroom. Other than the accordian on the last track of the record, i used only 4 mics (no mods) all priced under $300, and a DIGI002(no mods) running ProTools 8 with no external pres.

Nothing To Me - Caffeine Machine - YouTube (the single, "Nothing To Me". music video shot on Canon T2i, played in reverse)

pm me and i'll send you a soundcloud link with the full album if $5 is too steep

Let me know what you think!

loving the spookiness of the opening notes, really nice composition and instrumentation, vocals fit in well with the rest of the track, really nice quality considering how cheap your setup was. Goes to show it's all in the playing not the gear! better not repeat that to loudly in here.
