Action Scene

Action music for a fight scene. I spent a really long time trying to clean up this mix with High Passes, compression, panning, etc. Still was a little muddy in my opinion though. I'm putting together my demo reel for applying to Masters programs so any advice or criticism is much appreciated!

It seems very pro, for me.

Awesome orchestration.
Musically it is very good.

As for sound - maybe one thing may be "improved" - dynamic range.
So, multiband compression of whole mix might brighten the sound as a fair dose of saturation.
Compressing staccattos will helps too - not "tail" compression(!) but only to bring up the transients.

Also, I would put little more reverb on strings, esp. on violins:
at 0:44 - dryness of violins is unveiled (also, a very little machine gun effect is exist in this part).

Cheers!

Just listened on my iPhone speaker but sounding quite impressive. Good work! Obviously I can't comment on the mixing.

How would you go about setting that up? As in what parts would you compress over others?

I like - is it EWQL? I think you must work with the drumsounds some more they are a little bit anonymous now.
