Swedish Rock

Hola. This a track by my good friend Jan. I tracked and mixed this one. I tried some different stuff for the mix, trying to go for a little more of a modern sound. What do you think?

The singer must be a virtual plug-in? He sounds like Lola the singing robot! How did you get the robot to sing? I tried with Lola but it's really hard to get her to sing like a human. Do you use DFH for drums? Did you program the drums or played with pads? The high hat sounds almost real but you should try to get CV open up on 2 and 4. I think the drums sounds really good for being midi but nothing beats the real thing.

I'm not sure what to make sure about your 'robot' comments. The way the vocal sounds is pretty much how he sounds when he sings. There are no edits, pitch correction, or anything of the sort on it.

All the instruments (including the drums) were tracked live to 2" with no punches, edits, beat detective, etc.

I don't understand this music (noise). The drums got to be midi, right?
