| Hi xeper, cathy song...really nice. Bass/kick is nice. But I think you have a problem with the rooms acoustics. The vocal is sounding odd in the beginning. Check the acoustics. Finally I miss definition in your mix.

| ......really pretty tune and great playing, singing....got lots of commercial appeal I think, in a middle of the road sort of a way.....listening on my computer speakers so can't comment on the finer points of the mix but from here sounds great. |

Thread Starter | hi Andreas, yeah, vocals are quite strange in the beginning I left it rough, without any reverb, etc. so if something here is bad, it could be on vocal track directly.. can You say more what is strange in the vocal ? |

| Don't have any suggestions, but the drum/bass mesh is amazing! I wouldn't touch that. That and the harmony vocals are pretty amazing too. Good luck with it! |

| Lovely tune. Andreas' remark about the lead vocal is right. There is the notion of hands being cupped about the mouth in a small room. I suggest sweeping the 300 Hz to 600 Hz band, and suspect a not-so-narrow cut will be needed. After doing that, you may or may not need to bolster the 1.8 K to 3.6 K band, currently lacking, but that is key for intelligibility from a Wallmart ceiling speaker. The backgrounds are well enough sung that I'd have wished for a much less vocoder-like tuning treatment, but that is a creative choice naturally. I do feel the backgrounds have greater low mid band (again) thickness than needed. Very nice overall however. Like it or not, we can't help respond when music is decently written and well sung and well played - as it is here. John Caldwell |
