Rap Song I Mixed Needs Feedback

My cousin sent me this session... I didnt do the beat they sent me a instrumental nor did i do the vocal chops they seem hell of off beat to me but thats just my opinion but my cousin is on the last verse

Ouch

Yes. Its really bad. i made it about 30 seconds. The kick sounds horrible and the rapper is just as bad. As far as the mix goes the levels arent horrible its just that particular kick i think. Vocals are a little low it seemed like too. Im at work though on mega budget computer speakers so who knows

It's not horrible man. Honestly.. Just take peoples criticism and take it into your next track. I agree with the kick though. It seems like theres just too much high end. Definately don't give up, keep going!!

I think you mean "rappish" or "rap-ish" not "rapish" (or "rape-ish").

Yeah, the rapper has no clarity, the kick is ridiculous. The song is obnoxious enough to be top 40 actually, but someone that knows how to produce needs to get their hands on it.
