Thread Starter | Good enough to share? Rap/Pop/Electro inside
Hello fellow music addicts, Thought I'd share a beat I recently did, finally.. Been producing instrumentals for a while now and 6 months ago finally got a mic and it changed my world in terms of what I thought I was doing right when making my beats. Fast forward to today, I've gotten a little bit better. But my recording environment (noisy apartment), and equipment (PreSonus AudioBox USB - Bluebird condenser) has got me about as far as I think I'm gonna go.. so it's time to share and take some criticism. I accidentally posted this in a different thread that wasn't exactly what I thought it was.. lol. For everyone else have a listen! http://soundcloud.com/user1719419/dr-drew-twin-cities-stupid If you made it through to the end, thank you. Before anyone points out the flaws.. The low end is mushy still. It's tough. I produce/record/mix in headphones 99% of the time and am forced to burn tracks to CD and run back and forth to the car where I can really push the low-end. I look forward to upgrading my gear and continuing down this path of mutilation to my ears. It's gonna be a fun ride. ![]() Andy |
