Finally getting around to working on a solo record...

[sc] Uncertaintly by Island Music Lab on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free [sc]

pretty happy with my first mix... its been years since ive worked on any of my own music, still hunting down the voice who will be on this record but ive got the lyrics all written out. this one is called Uncertainty.

any feedback is greatly appreciated!

all in all almost no criticism. The mix is sounding warm, clean and punchy.
You left enough headroom and there is very less distortion audible (a big
http://static.gearslutz.com/board/im...lies/thumb.gif in times of the loudness war...good job!!). The only thing I would like to mention is the bass/kickdrum area. To my ears there has to be a bit more differentiation between these instruments caused by not optimal frequency allocation.

Hi Andreas...

Thanks for the words. I am working on the bass/kick situation. For me, it is the most important musical element of the song so when I get around to doing a final with vocals I will focus on tightening them as much as possible.
