Please critique this arrangement

This is an attempt at an orchestral arrangement of a piece not originally written by me. I'm curious to hear what you think of both the structure of the arrangement (it doesn't have a finale yet, though), the dynamics and the sound itself.

I usually write my own music, but in this case I wanted to focus on the arrangement bit without worrying too much about melody.

Any comments are welcome!

I though it flowed really nicely. Good score. The string hits at the end felt like a good crescendo to me. Maybe if you brought back in the original eight bars (before the timps start) at the very end and let if fade out to sort of bring it down again. I enjoyed it.

Thanks! That's an interesting way to end it. I'll try that out seeing that every other idea for ending it I tried failed horribly.

Very nice. I usually don't care too much for sample or midi or synth oriented productions but this has personality and expressive articulation in the sounds as well as a well balanced sonority. The trumpets from 1:22 - 1:45 are the only thing that sounds too artificially repetitive to me. A tiny bit of variance in the attack of just a couple of the prominent tones of those repeating figures would bring them to life.

I like Ves Paul's idea of bringing back the intro's first few bars as a more subtle ending.

Thanks for the comment. I've been very concerned about the trumpets on the track in general. I think that while the repetition does indeed not really hurt the track because they are "masked" by the other instruments, it is noticeable in that middle part of the piece. I think that I will manually record the trumpets for added variation.

I'm going to upload some original music soon too.

I just updated with the latest version of the arrangement.

Some stuff has been manually recorded this time to make it sound less static.

I'm NOT sure about the current ending I have, though. It was kind of a last minute thing.
