Thumbs down Dirty folkish groovy song mixed in Studio One with Decapitator, KMT, Devil-Loc

Please review my recent mix, its mastered as well (unfortunately client limited budget has me mastering it as well).

Hope you guys are gonna like it. I say it again Presonus Studio One v2 is the most clever DAW ever. Unbeatable workflow, sound and the mastering feature is heaven on earth.

Thanks for your time. I'll post some more songs later on.

Hi man - enjoyed the song! I'm on pretty pro-consumer gear, Logitech with a sub. Did you pan the vocals to one side? It sounds a little uneven to me. I miss some warmth to - the mix seems a little thin and cold, if that makes sense.

Love the vocal performance...

Thanks for the comments.humm. I dont know about the vocal. im pretty sure its dead center. I would do otherwise else for effects or back vocals. for warm Ive put some minor compression and tape emulation. would you suggest ive put some more tube warmt on the mix and add some bottom to overall mix? I dont have the best room, gear and speakers so its hard to make decisions..

thanks again

Don't think you should "add" bottom - maybe just try and alter the mix from another perspective? I think the mix is already working, don't over think my comments. My speakers aren't that great either... My volume/controller knob is kind of weird to, sometimes the levels are screwed up and unmatched. I'm going to buy a new pair soon.

Let's hear what the other guys think...
