Smile Lurker finally posts a song - any comments appreciated

Hi there! I have been lurking for quite some time now and have finally plucked up courage to post a song. I can handle any criticism so let us have it! There is a song up here:

http://www.myspace.com/no1amnesiacs

called "It's Over" we are looking for comments on both for technical aspect and songwriting. If any of you guys could make the time to check it out we would be very grateful. I have learnt so much from these boards over the months and posted bits and bats on the low end boards for newbies. Enjoy!!!

AJ

Cool tune---I thought the vocs were stuck out in front a bit too much.

The reverb "sound' was too short fo rthe track-I think an eko-way back in the mix would be cool too.

guitar fx & loops/drums were nice--very well put together.

Nice voice too-a copla lines were just a tad to sharp for me-fix those/punch...

-a few lyric lines felt akward-like ya didnt have the "meter" quite figured out.

spit & polish !

thanks

JF

Hey thanks for that John! I used a trick on the vocals I learnt off Dave Pensado when he was moderator on these boards a year or so ago where you copy the voice and pitch shift it up an octave and a few ms late to fatten up the sound. Interesting what you say about the reverb on the voice, I will have a go at changing it and seeing what that does. Thanks for listening. Now where did I put that spit and polish?
