A good friend of mine named Jeff Bakos produced a record for them a couple years back. In fact, my studio is the building right next to his. He's my landlord. Anyway, he played me a couple cuts off of it while they were working on it. It was like a modern day Black Sabbath. Cool stuff.

Do any of you guys know Ben Price, Eli Akins, or Alex Lowe? They were all involved in the record I did up there at Southern Living At Its Finest studios, which was owned by Ricky Keller until his death. They are good people.

Yea that was a cool record, a little more stoner rock than theone we did. I believe I have gotten them a bit more ...dare I say "modern" this time. At least not as classifiable as "stoner rock."
I really dig their stuff!!!! Bakos did a great job on that record.

The guitar tones on that first track blow my mind. But you're right, you can only live in the past so long and then you have to move on. I think Jeff heard them being like the band that was comprised of the orginal members of Queens of the stone age. I can't remember the name, though. I want to say it started with a K.

Great tracck! Love the guitars, espically the tones in the pre verse.... But the vocals just dont do it for me. It like they are hidden underneath everything else. I would like to hear them a little more out infront. But thats just me.

Rooock'n Rooool!

Great mix, but I also think the singer is singing from behind. But not by much, if the previus poster not had mentioned it I probably didn't noticed it!

Great music man.

The vocals are a little low or in the back and the mix sounds shoe boxy - guess it's a matter of taste. Reminds me of a swedish band called http://www.hellacopters.com/ and also Foo Fighters.

Enjoyed the music!

I will take both of your critiques as a compliment since those are 2 of the very few bands they brought in as reference!!!!
