Hey Cool song -

I can't comment on the song right now but I will write some words that you can read... I'm drunk!

I think the drums sounds cool but a little boxy and it sounds like you used bit reduction - the snare sounds like 8 bits commandore C64 and the bass is too closed up in a shoe box . I would add some low mid and tweak the compression. I think the vocals could glue better to the rest of the instruments - they are too up front and the reverb is too modern - round it off some make it vintage sounding. Also the mix sounds to L2'd I miss the dynamics. I just changed my mind - the bass need more mid and less lows - like on those old dylans etc...

I get a Grateful Dead vibe...

Thanks for the feedback man.

Just a quick question about your reverb comment. I'm unsure how to create a vintage reverb sound, could you elaborate on that for me? Use spring reverbs?

I use TL Space. In this song I created a vocal plate, with early reflections, I also buss a small amount of vocals to the drum reverb.

Thanks again!

Rob

just cut some of the high end on the reverb but keep the vocal track untouched...
