How can I improve mixes

How can I improve the quality of my mixes? These tracks were abused with an L2 and Sony Dynamics plugin(with warmth enabled). My mixes just sound like demos, while I'm trying to make them sound closer to professional quality.

I record to a Digidesign 002 through a couple nice preamps(GR, Vintech, API, UA). You can listen to some mixes at www.soundclick.com/wrx07 Thank you for any advice

You could start by posting your songs on here rather than pointing me to a web site where I have to sign up and join to listen to your music.

Take it easy with the bass, it's killing your buss compressor. So are the drums, which need cleaned up.

I'm using a digi 002 on a mac g5 with a rosetta 800.

I agree-my mixes are very bassy and muddy. I've been trying to figure out how to make my mixes translate well for a few months now, and still no success. And yes I've gone to john sayer's site and read a shit load of articles. And my room has been treated with 6 RealTraps.

How should the drums be cleaned up? You should hear this stuff in my car...it's almost unbearable
