Produce this

Ok so I am working on this new song and very happy with how things are going but would like a little input on a few things. Note, this is not the mix, just a rough mix so you can hear what is going on.. If the mix is really bad then let me know and I can rework it.

1) Do you feel like it takes to long for the vocal to come in.. Better said do I lose you before it.

2) Would you add any other instruments to song. Or would you cut any out..

3) The first and second verse are pretty much the same, so it would be cool to try to come up with something that would make them just a little different..

Any other ideas would be great to hear..

Thanks

song's rok'n!!

Maybe get another guitar doing a "cross solo" on the left after the second chorus? Let the 2 guitars play off each other...

And after that let the left guitar play out the song...

Great song reminds me of the soncis meets the kinks with a tip of the head to jet and a dash of "my Generation" by The Who.

I would consider making the drum intro 2 bars instead of 4 which would get the vox in a bit sooner without removing the lead guitar phrase which introduces it.

Apart from that i feel that the key change which brings in the solo section after the 2nd chorus feels kind of stapled on and i think the transition between the end of the chorus and this should be worked on a little.

As i said at the start i think its great and a really rootsy production.

cool guys,
I am going to work on a few of the things you guys are saying and repost it... Not sure if I will be able to get a second guitar on the 2nd verse today, but I can see what I can do.. BTW this is what I was looking for from you guys.. Little things here and there can really make a song come to life!

three-sixtys rock!!!!!! Do these guys do any road work at all?

Just an opinion right....

I would make the distortion on the vox a little more subtle (I like it, just more subtle). I find there's too much contrast with the BG vox. The BG vox seem to stick out too much in the versus. I think I would add just a touch of dist to the BG vox...just a touch to soften them a bit - relative to the rest of the band.

*Ditto on the key change. A little cliche. I don't know the personality of you guys...cliche might be what you want....but from my POV in front of my monitor I say no

Then again, if the lead is played a little different on the key change it might work - something wonky going on there. Then again see "*". it might be exactly what you want.

Anyhow thumbsup I like listening to your stuff. Banging out tunes like this was the most fun I had playing when I was in it just to be in it.

Oh PS, intro seems right to me.
