Lone Crow - perspective, please

Hi all. I'd appreciate any comments or perspective on this basic mix. It's a country/swamp thing.

Thanks!

Sounds good, lovely space in the track but I would say the vocals are a little too high in the mix and the electric in the centre is a little on the bright side.

The snare just about right in the verses but it lost in the chorus at around 1:35. Kick also needs some work to get clear and separate from the bass.

Is this you singing?

thanks, that's very helpful!

The singer is the songwriter...he has a classic, old school country voice. A good friend from the days... Going for a kind of swamp thing here.

I like it .
Lead Vox - hair to loud
and other the B3 everything seems right up the middle .
Maybe that electric off to left and not quite as bright

HH sounds real good.

keep it up .

Thanks, Dave. Yeah, I was thinking it sounded a little constricted. When I widen it, though, I start to lose the "sense of place/space" that I like. On the other hand, moving the guitar to the left a little lets the organ fit in better. It's a <balancing> act I'll keep working on. Taking a critical break and getting some feedback really helps.

Good to hear the HH sounds okay. Recording drums is fairly new to me...

thanks again!
