Over compressed track? Is the mix good?

I just want to know what you guys think about this track. It was for a demo purpose so I didn't put a lot of time into it. The guys werent that talented but I tried really hard.... Let me know! The vox are on a drawmer 190 with a U87. The guitars are gibsons through marshalls with U87 and 57's... drums are DW with the basic shure setup and the bass is DI-1960.... also the drummers snare has 2 TOP HEADS!!!! sounds like trash! And I think there is too much reverb in the vox.

the track 04 is bed of roses and track 2 is the other song..... no name?

track 04: Sounds good to me. Groove isn't that solid though(timing issues all over the place - click track guide ?). Good mix though. Vocalist is good. Does sound like they are trying to do too much in a few places, but not good enough to do it - e.g. lead guitar solo and bass guitar in a few places. Vocals sound the best

track 02: Good solid start; groove more solid; better song, better drumming. Lead guitar tone at 00:26 a bit dodgy. Good mix; nice ringy snare sound - is that a picolo snare?
Overall: good mixes. Groove and timing and a few guitar tones, just need tightening up / improving in a few places - but probably band requisites

Ben.

timing is an issue but not my fault they are lazy... bassist sucks (BAD), the guitarist wanted to do the tracks but he wouldnt let him and cried about it....

LOL - oh well, your effort was good; the mixes are good. Just a shame the band weren't totally up to it. They need to practice more - the songs definitely have potential and could sounds really good if they got their shit together
