Swedish folk style song

Hi Guys,
Recorded this some months back. Today I listened to it after a while and thought "the guys at Gearslutz need this to get a break"

Well, I recorded the basic guitar and vocal tracks in a one-take with one Audix CX-101 in front of me and the guitar. Preamp was a Presonus Digimax (the old one ).

The chorus was also recorded with the Audix/Digimax at a longer distance. Me and two girls from the neighbourhood sang together.

You can hear the traffic outside at the road nearby, especially the big timber trucks coming then and then and often making sub tones. Listen at the end of the song.....

Have a listen to the similar style song as well at another thread in the house: http://gearslutz.com/board/showthread.php3?t=50565

Theres a bit too much noise,
also the vocals are a bit sibliant, and the reverb/delay sounds a bit chorusy....

And get rid of that synth....

Other than that, for a Jan Johansson fan....

Not much too complain about.

borau,
Yeah, I know. It is recorded like doing a demo, The noise comes from the amp and the very "listening" room mics AKG C480, which is quite high in the mix. You can actually hear me coming to and sitting down in the sofa just before hitting the first chord on the Strat...had to hit recording on Logic at another part of the cabin first....that's another story....

It's not edited as good as it could be and I've used the stuff Logic and Digimax can offer. Digimax is dead silent otherwise.....it's just natural noise.

Will take it to the studio later for a rework.....maybe....kind of like it as it is.....

Through the years I've learned to do things dirty, and keep it dirty.

Cheers,
Hans
