Thread Starter | MP3 example Cowbell trans x'ed Time to time I get asked about Waves Trans X & envelope compression, and it's always easier to show than tell. Here's an example of a cowbell with trans x on it to reduce the room sound. I automated the range so you could hear it do it's thing. I also automated the output trim so the levels stay pretty much the same. Settings end up as followed on the last hit: Range: 18 Sens: 10 Dur: 310.61 Rel: 480.79 It was the "wide" version, not the multi (obviously). This took me longer to bounce than to do, and I went full blast on the range which I think in this case gets a bit artifact funky, especially in this MP3 form. It's a lot more tricky on final mixes, but I do think it's worth a shot if you are trying to reduce reverb. I think it's also important to note that this plug in goes both ways, sortah like Lindell. You could make it sound more ambient if you wanted to. Hope it helps. |
