Sonics: I think there are some low end issues. I can't here good definition in that kick and I think there might be too much low end (sub), without the bass line being pretty defined. This probably sounds pretty good on the bassbins, but too me it just seems like there is too much low end energy taking up space and nopt letting the kick come thru.

When i put it on my little logitech 5.1 setup with the sub it just blows the sub up and i don't hear anything else.

also, it sounds like you've added a lot of high end to her voice POST recording. Is this the case? It just sounds a little shrill...

over all, cool. Check it out on a bunch of different systems and keep tweekin. At this point I think it's just levels.

The breakdown from 1:28 to 1:48 is really pleasing. I enjoy her voice, but it does suggest having been dramatically processed with compression and eq. This treatment is common for the genre, I guess, and my comments probably just reflect my ignorance of (or reluctance to adopt) this standard. Along the same line, my attention is lost some when the verses digress into the male vocal narrative. This, too, is probably my generation gap speaking. Nice work on the whole here, Filterayok.

Speaking of generation gaps, what is meant by Fly (or FLY)?

Best,

John-

good ear----that shrill is ...................guess.....................SERATO PITCH n TIME!!
it always adds that wierd ass high endy thing---its real hard to get rid of it without dulling the vocal too much------that girl sang that over a totally different track in a different key----and yea there is low end issues, but on the right set of speakers that bassystuff sounds pretty cool----thanx for the comment
