Advice on Recording equipment for my band

I'm trying to put together a nice recording studio. A majority of the work would be for my band.

www.myspace.com/austinjamesband

so far I'm thinking.

Radar v system.
lilo.

great river pre
chandler tg2
pendulum pre

distressors
chandler tg1
pendulum ocl2

quartet

maybe I need more pre's
and an assortment of mics

Tell me what you think would work.
Right now were going onto a cheap yamaha 16 track,
but the recording sounds decent for the board.

sound comes from these things, in order:

player
room
mic

i didn't listen to the mp3, so i don't know anything about the players you have.

is the room treated? if not, do so, and do it correctly (ie buying lots of auralex @ guitar center won't cut it.)

get great mics. what's the point of plugging a shitty mic into a great pre, running into a great compressor?
