So i just finished season two of the animated for pre-schoolers tv show "City of Friends".

So if anyone wants to listen to some clips, I am starting to get something together on this page: Showreels
The episodes are 9 minutes long (withouth in and outro) and there's about 8 minutes of music in each episode.. one episode per week at the busiest

I am going to check what I can post of pictures and videos with the producers

This entry is pretty old, but dude, a few recording issues aside, you're freakin' good. I like this stuff.

Heres my latest song all done by me. I was actually just recording the acoustic so that I wouldn't forget it, but did such a good take throughout that I went ahead and recorded the rest with it.

I think it came out pretty good.

This is terrific. I can hear an explosion of heavy ass guitars on the chorus, alla Alice in Chains.

Thanks! Yea, I thought about doing that bringing in the whole band. I just might have to do another version.

Just catching up.......spending a great deal of time in the studio.

Quite the workout, Nolet. All those changes worked fine for me...bet that was a fun production.

Looks like I missed the T'Mershi number.

Great to hear old stuff like that edva piece and some great unplugged rock from Carnesd.

I did this one this weekend.......it's a bit somber. Sorry.

Your Reflection

Pretty cool, man. It takes me a weekend to just get comfortable in the chair and decide whether I should have a bowl of cereal before I start.

That's really good Lenny, very evocative, and good arrangement.

Thanks, edva.....I appreciate that. This song did come together quite....interestingly.

You know, Dean, I do work quickly. These are just demos that I'm producing back there in that bedroom so I have no illusions about achieving top shelf quality. I have just two decent tracking chains so my choices are, thankfully, limited. I make quick commitments both in tracking and mixing which may be why my tunes tend to sound so.......spontaneous.

Kind of gets me to wondering........all you other frequent (and occasional) posters.....Nolet, rwhitney, dbubba (oops...sorry Danny), guitarmax, jimbguitar.......all you guys........

How long does it take to get one done?

How long? Jeezz...well...way longer than you Lenny. I just counted...and I recorded about 18 to 20 tracks in the last year. I never finish in one go though. I first write it on acoustic and then weeks might pass before I have a full mix going. But my type of music is also very different than what you do. I tend to lean to the more=more side. And my guitar and keyboard skills are very limited. I have to record everything a zillion times before I have a good take....

Thanks Dean and Vernier. Every time I tried lead vocals it took away from the mood and the build of the song. I just decided it fit better without a lead vocal.
Nothing is set in stone...

Fav lyrics? So many to choose from. "We're on yo' a** like a maxi-pad" or "Yeah we're here to hit yo a** with a ruckuss/ Who are we?/ We're Volts United, mothaf***as!" or "Look at me, b****/ I'm livin' the life."

I don't think they're actually livin' the life, though. Unless "the life" is sharing a two-bedroom apartment in the Dallas suburbs, and working the second shift at the Armstrong plant or the video store.

However, the song ain't half bad.
