Hi,

Just novice advice, to my ears snare didn't sit in the mix. Sounded loose, if you understand what i mean. Also needs some punch, experts will tell you more

I liked the song. Great job overall.

The whole drum kit is out of the mix. The vocals are too far back probably due to the too obvious verb. Sounds like all of the elements were recorded alone and then put together. There is no "glue" to keep everything together - for example, use the same slight verb or compressor on the master buss. Also, I would widen the stereo soundfield. Nice gritty vocals and composition to the song.

Cannot agree much. But some things like wider stereo field might work well really. I liked the drums, it might also could be a little more "space" feeling. Other than that I don't feel that there is no glue , I feel that you have a dry perspective and more of a live way to treat your music.
Not bad.
Also try the comment about a very little reverb maybe on the whole thing.

- There's a miss-timed bass kick somewhere around 20 seconds into the track. I would repair it.
- The transients of the snare drum sound a bit strange, as if the skin is was wet when you recorded it (don't know how to explain it in other words). This probably has to do with your compressor settings or microphone placement.
- The tempo seams to float/fluctuate quite a lot. Did the drummer use a click track without previous experience?

Besides this: I like the song! Lots of energy, nice southern vibe.
