| Hey guys, Just have been working on a side project, and I've got these drums, that just seem to let the whole song down. They were hastily recorded. The mics, were a beta 52a on the kick, Audix i5 on the top side of the snare, and Audix D2 on the toms, Audix D4 on one of the low toms, and a 57 on one of the floor toms that only gets hit once. I used AKG C300B as overheads. But later down the line, I realise only one of the overheads were recording. (Really stupid.) So now I've only got a close room mic. I've tried parallel comping them, and some other techniques I've picked up. What I hate most is the snare sound, which I've tried to double with some samples I have of a snare on Logic. I also don't like the sound of the cymbals, but I think thats a problem with only one mic. Maybe I'm expecting more then what I was given, I don't know. Any advice on the sound will be greatly appreciated. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2545398/Nigh...0-%20Drums.mp3 |
