50 Cent - "Baby By Me" - Who is the singer?

Y'all probably think I'm crazy for not knowing Ne-Yo.
Of course I know him, but I'm not asking about that version of the song.

I did a remix but I still couldn't figure out who the hell sings the hook on the acappella I got hands on. It doesn't say any names.

Don't get me wrong, this is NOT me blending various artists on a remix, I just did the beat.
Vocals came as they are...

It's 50 feat...!?

What Version is this anyways?
Should I know this hookline from another song or is this some
pre-released studio version/ "original" Baby By Me??

Thx Slutz!

The album version of the song was the one where you don't even know the singer," 50 told DJ Whoo Kid over the weekend on Sirius Satellite Radio. "I did the reference in the studio. It's a little more visual. Ne-Yo lightened it up a little bit and made it ready for radio. It works. I gotta sift through and see what I'm gonna put on the album. The Ne-Yo record is a stronger radio version.

Why is the beat in a different key than the singing? Works with the verse though.

How do you get that pitch dropping effect right before the third verse around 1:45-2:00 or something?

The pitch effect is a plugin called "Effectrix" from Sugar Bytes.
Very nice tool for "mess-up-time" effects

Here's the link: SUGAR BYTES

Jovan gotta be newcomer...?
I mean I'm from europe and I never heard of him.
I found the orig on his myspace. Thx for the info.

I feel sad for him for being left out of the officially released version.
Neyo is great but this could have been a big oppotunity for a young guy...

Also check out http://illformed.org/plugins/glitch/, it's a freeware plugin with similiar features and possibilities,
though I did never work with the Sugar Bytes thing.
