| Gear maniac | Tried out some new toys!
This drummer was good, but not the tightest. He did a lot of unnecessary and random stuff A LOT. But he hits hard and fits with the style. Got 3 KSM32's and a Massey TapeHead plug in. Used and abused all of them! haha 2 KSM's behind the drummer, spaced pair. 1 KSM over the front of the kit. d112 in the kick 57 snare 57 tom1 57 tom2 421 tom3 into the ISA828/003 duo. I did guitars with the 57 and KSM also. I really dig that mic. I bussed the drums and applied the TapeHead to it. I really liked how it seemingly brought the drums together nicely. Tape head on one of the guitars to dirty it up a bit, Tape Head on the bass for more warmth and drive. Used some dverb on the overheads/snare/toms also. not the kick, whats your take on that? This dudes kick drum was TERRIBLE sounding, so I used drumagog and replaced it with a sample that I took of my own kit. Blended his snare with one of my snares too...his was too...I dont know...too much crack? Not enough warmth. Let me know what you guys think could make it better! Opinions good, bad, criticisms all welcome! 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download All Your Fault - Probability Wave (rough).mp3 Thanks Last edited by deadroom; 13th October 2009 at 09:23 PM..
