Electro track-please comment

I've figured out how to upload now (wasn't hard!). Could anyone into electronic music/breakbeat give me some tips. The tunes not mastered and at the moment money won't allow that. I'll be uploading a few tunes over the next few weeks as I'm preparing to send a few demo's off to A&R men. The tunes sound ok on my mates Tapco 8" monitors and as good as i can make them on my Event tr5's (hard to get bass right), but i would appreciate a few fresh ears. I'm thinking the drum tracks don't gell too good and maybe a bit more reverb on drums would help. any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance for any replies and let me know if there are any tracks you might like my humble opinion on (you know what its like-fresh ears and stuff).

Sorry Rob but the mp3 is at 320kb/s. I suppose that is not a good mix¬!!!!

I did experiment a bit with lo-fi. ie. a spectrum gate on drum track and a few other bits an pieces, guess it don't work huh? I know there is a bit of clippin'on the delay that can be sorted.
Back to the drawing board eh.
Really appreciate the advice though, hope you can check out my other tracks and let me know!
Cheers mate

Can I ask some dumb questions??

What is this music going to be used for? Are vocals going on this? Is it for a sound track? Don't take this the wrong way, but is this for a porn movie?
You said something about a AR guy so there must be some kind of marketing behind it??

ok I get the point, it sucks!
I suppose there was a bit of irony involved when i made it, but you know what mates are like, not very critical like you guys.
It will shortly cease to exist and i hope you prefer the next one!

Hey brother fish!!

Don't sweat all the BS...it is predictable and pointless. It takes balls to show your music to everyone.

Honestly I think the comments come from the fact that the 'arrangment'..and instrument 'placement' and...'tempo/timing' needs work.

It sounds like your sequencer 'got off track' so to speak and started playing back the instruments at different times and places, other than what you intended...

Just curious...have you listened since you posted?

Go back...start simple...start with a single solid groove..add a bass..lock it in solid...add your harmony part...and the melody and keep it tight.

re-work it and re-post it... But keep at it bro.

also dude.. unless you are making the music for fun just for yourself .. make sure your stuff stacks up with what others are doing in the same genre... do a lot of listening and analysis of other tracks you like.. then just add your flavor to your track.. dance is a tough as hell genre to be very good at... just keep listening and learning thumbsup

also listen to 2 or 3 tracks in a similar genre to yours, then play yours then listen to more tracks..as in drop yours in your own mini dj set.. does yours sound like its supposed to be in there? be critical ...

in electro house.. i find... keep the bass part simple and BIG, keep the kick strong and 4x4 keep the hats sparse and slightly syncopated keep the snare/clap on 2 and 4 and other percussive elements to add rythmic flavour and intrest..

build the groove then arrange and elaborate.. but keep it simple!!!!
