Download Song as MP3: In the Water, I Am Beautiful (~5.5 MB)
Hello,
I am just a music lover and I just recently started creating my own stuff. I played my first piano chord 2 weeks ago and decided to put together a piano cover of an acoustic song I enjoy: Dallas Green's "In the Water, I Am Beautiful".
I don't like the way my vocals sit in mixes or, to an extent, sound. Do you have any tips that I could use to help them sit a bit better and give this mix a more professional feel? I am going to re-recording a couple words that I fell off pitch in and stick out to me.
Currently, I have 4 vocal tracks playing along with the 2 stereo piano tracks:
1st Track: Main, Fairly Compressed track with reverb
2nd Track: Auto-Tuned to a higher pitch with lots of reverb/chorus
3rd Track: Auto-Tuned to an extremely high pitch with lots of reverb/chorus
4th Track: Vocoder used in "Breathy" setting as a "bed" for the vocals.
Any tips? Comments? Criticisms? Thank you!
