I thought the mix was pretty good. Only thing I noticed was that the main sample and singing seemed to overpower the rapper mix wise. Other than that, good job.

I'd probably bring the vox down a tiny bit. And/or bring the kick mid/high up a bit. (And snare). Maybe some delay/echo on the rap? Might be a tad dry. It's good though. |

Very nice mix. I am no hip hop lover but could definately give this another listen. I actually really like the dry rap, to me it gives a raw quality to his vocals. Am no expert but i feel the mix is spot on and smooth to the ears. Maybe lower the backing vocals a touch. Who is the artist as i would like to hear more. I've always found hip hop to be a tad boring and thugish for my liking until i heard French hip hop. It sounds more intellegent in it's composition (not just cause the rapping is in french lol). Andy. |

| your mix You asked, you shall receive. First of all , this isn't hip hop. Maybe Fusion? Jazz maybe? Hip Hop drives on the beat. This has no strong beats. And its monotonous. I could not listen to the whole song. Try doing something different on the guitar instead of looping the same riff for 3 minutes.. Second , your mix needs work. I can barely hear the drums and they are overly compressed that there is no low mid punch. Listen to Dr. DR 2001 album. That is Hip Hop music. A true milestone of mastering and mixing in our decade. Is there a bass instrument, because don't hear one after the intro? Lastly, the lead voice is too loud. |
