Thumbs up Producers: A Darwin James remix opportunity

Here is an opportunity for savvy remix producers. I've written and recorded a song called "Always Felt The Same" (it's not my normal style, but I wanted to try something different) that I'd love to hear some talented producers come up with music to match the song. The song would fit well over a dance/house beat (or something equally quick), it's got a Top 40/hip-hop sound (singing/rap). Your task: Create a music track that can play in clubs, something people can dance to.

Check it out and see if you can produce a track that kicks ass. It's a good opportunity for a producer to showcase their talent. Feel free to use the vocals on your music (be sure and credit me if you do, and of course I retain the songwriting/performance copyright).

Tempo is 125.

Yeah good stuff mang. I actually was bored, tired of working on our own stuff and needed the break from our voices, so I whipped something up at 2am here. Can't

Anyways I am no remixer or producer really but will post maybe tomorrow, or today I guess depending on how it sounds, for shites and giggles anyways...

peace

ALWAYS FELT THE SAME

Here you go man. It isn't mixed or anything, could be some low end problems, no, definitely some low end problems and the vox are probably a bit too far back but thought you might want to hear yourself anyways lol

Again I am no expert just did for some fun last night. If I had more time I would produce it up A LOT more, but anyways.

Haha, that's pretty good man. Confirms my thoughts that the vox could translate to different remixes. I'd probably shift the vox over a few bars to play on a different timing.

Good first shot!

Yeah for sure they can always translate.

I constructed it to the vocals so the timing you hear is deliberate....that is just my crazy ways ...I'm an artists first and foremost. I do think I could have gotten the hook better, but I was liking the verses. Again if it was something I was doing seriously I would have taken a lot more time, especially mix and master wise, but was rather just having some fun at it in the wee hours. I have remixed our own stuff and sometimes it is a piece of cake and sometimes it is awkward..this one was a case of a bit of both.

Anyways, good on you to post the vocals, I enjoyed the practice and nice to have something with some decent lyrics and flow to it.

Cheers!

p.s. I use decent in a very positive way. Not like meh, decent, but respectable; worthy, good taste etc.

As of today, after 20 years doing it, I am retired from rap. This is another reason why I am giving the vox out. My mission now is to front a rock band that can one day be heard across the globe. You read it here first.
......Huh! didn't you just put out a cd. Seems a liitle abrupt.

I want to rock a band, but to be honest I dont know what the hell to do in life.
Be happy bro. It is all about HAPPINESS. You can't take it with you so all that matters is what you have done and more importantly what makes you happy.

Here's another remix for you. I would not call this Hip Hop. This is more Pop. And i am by no means a mixer so feel to critique.

I've had your track on repeat for an hour. With a strong mix, it would be sick.
