Okay well this is my friend band's cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash (originally by the Rolling Stones) which I tracked and mixed...I don't think its really impressive or anything, but just wanted to share it here and perhaps pick up a few pointers on areas the song can be improved ![]() Some info on the tracking: Drums all through Focusrite Octopre LE/Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 i/o preamps into Digi 96 i/o converters Drumkit: beat up Yamaha Stage Customs, with Istanbul Samatya cymbals/HH Kick: Heil PR40 out Beta57 in Snare: Audix i5 top SM57 bottom OH: Audio Technica ATM450 in ORTF Stereo Room: Shure KSM141 Bass: Warwick Corvette, DIed through Octopre LE Guitars: Epiphone SG and a Firebird through a Vox Pathfinder 15r Miced up with e906, ATM450 and a SM57 into the Saffire pro 26 Vox: SE Gemini As for the mix, I know the vocal delay creeps through a bit sometimes ![]() Any problems with the mix I might have missed out? I chose to go for a cohesive (if you can call it that) mix instead of total seperation (which i did earlier, but didnt thought it really suited the song)...would love to hear some opinions on this, I can post up the earlier mix if anyone's interested. |
