Waves - Indie rock mix FEEDBACK APPRECIATED!

hello, i've just finished mixing my band's song.
I'd really appreciated any sort of feedback, whether it be on the mix or on the music itself.

cool tune - guitar potentially drowns out vocal on intro section...maybe trim the guitar a db and bring the vocal up a db?

once it kicks in it is pretty cool...lots of verb but good.

the sha la la la la 's might also distract from the lead vocal a bit...

is the guitar sound climax a memory man on overload? cool, but maybe mixed a touch too severe...maybe take the verb off the guitar at that point (if there is any)....

thanks for your advice, will try adjusting my mix when i have time.
the guitar sound you're talking about is the lead right? wish i had a memory man, it's the gt-8's delay and distortion.

thanks again!

I like this very much, it has a great feel to it. Reminds me a lot of Sigur Rós, mostly the track Glósóli, which is awesome in my opinion.

Keep it up!

I would bring the drums up a little more, they seem to sit too far back in the mix for my taste.

Sha la la la la.

these long long intro's can be tricky. i know it's one's art and all, but i advise against long intro's for 'new' unknown bands. you just lose people after 30 secs. simple fact and a million a&r guys and agents will tell you the same.even if they are deaf assh0les. some simple additions in textures to the long intro could help tough.

didn't like the fade after the forever intro.unnatural sounding and just didn't happen.

song is pretty wet, huh? washes right out during the radiohead whirly bird part. i hear what you were going for but the execution didn't quite do it for me.

overall i think because you're going for a soundscape, vibey song, the tune needs way more ear candy, so bolstering up the arrangement with sparse 'mono' sounds, beit kb's,more git's,reversed sounds etc sprinkled about could be cool.

i liked the bass tone.
