Went it came in, everything sounded big and great... then when the vocal hits it dwarves the music. It's too upfront and too thick in the low register.

It's taking away from the power of the music. IMO

To me, the snare has too much reverb on it. And yea, the Vox too loud.

Too much verb on snare or gate it a bit. Tighten that sucker up.

Vox way to out in front of the mix. If you pull them back a bit (and I would add a little air to them with a touch of trailing verb, or almost a doubling effect on the chorus pitched up a 3rd)

Other than that I really enjoy it.

I dunno guys, I'm really digging that verby snare, it sounds huge. I wouldn't change that, personally. just my taste, though.

It's not the amount of verb on the snare that bothers me - the tail of the verb has a weird ringing/modulation to it. Agreed - maybe gate the snare before hitting the verb.

Yes, vocals too loud and with not enough air. You have a left/right thing - a push/pull going on with the guitars in the verse. For me, it's distracting; it's actually what my ear is paying attention to even with the loud vox.

The vocal split on the chorus is also too wide for me. Leaves a big hole at center.

Sounds pretty decent; needs ironing.

Yes its the tail. Not the bigness. It has like three trail hits that give it a strange sound IMO. Of course music is subjective and I like my snares like my women. Nice and tight.

Its solid, vox = much better. Sounds nice. That snare verb is still to much for me. But that does not mean other people won't love the sound.

8/10 in my book. Good job.
