| here is my mix Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! i wish i could do better, i find my mix too muddy and the elements aren't separated enough. The drums were rather hard to make sound interesting, midi files would help, but i'm not sure i'll try to make a better mix. but this was fun! ![]() i think i learned something, at least not sure what though hahahabtw. i used the guitar solo from fishmac Last edited by Yagya; 12th February 2009 at 07:39 PM.. | OK, I had nothing to do so I took a shot. Man, those drums are tough to work with. The low end is out of control, but I got bored so I quit. Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! |

Thread Starter | Hi there Greg! Yeah, I liked your mix. I just think it needs more reverb on the strings and clear out the overall sound. Cya |

Thread Starter | MarcB, good mix! I just think the piano should be more in the face, but it's only my opinion ![]() Some reverb on the drums, would be interesting. Colonal, another good job! I think you should tweak the master volume up and add some reverb on the drums as well. Cya guys! |

I've just redone it (still with blocked ears due to a cold) , tried to remove the one note bass and bring the piano more focused into the mix while still giving it some dreamy reverb I'd like to hear someone pro do this with a few side notes on how they did certain things, as I basically haven't much of a clue what I'm doing OK... Version 2 by moi , still needs a bit of splishy splashy hi hats sorted though Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! | |

Thread Starter | Way better MarcB, but I would tweak the kick volume down a little bit. Rashman, cool idea! You put the clean guitar with the piano in evidence. I guess you should bring up the bass guitar as well, or add some bass to the snare and kick. Did you cut-off the keyboards intentionally, right? Eric, nice mix! I think you should bring the piano and acoustic guitars more in front of the drums. The kick is loud and the snare needs more volume and reverb. |
