Here's my quick mix Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
Also it still sounds to me like some of the instruments are clipping. Perhaps they were overloading the inputs while recording. Take care all!!!

Skidwasted thx for putting up the files, it was fun to mix. I was aiming for a clean mix so I guess I over EQ´d a little here and there. Mixed on headphones btw.

Magnum, good guitar sound.
I just think the hihat is a little bit loud and solos are bassy.

Thank you, Steve.

I did very little to the guitar tracks, actually. Just hard panning, a little level automation, and a touch of verb. No EQ or compression.

Except for the solos, they have compression, some upper mid boost, and delay.

Steve, did you use Superior 2.0 on the drums?
I enjoyed the intro edition.

Huarez, lots of reverb on drums and I think it's a little bit loud.
Did you accelerate the tempo?
I prefered the second mix.

Both have done a nice job!!
This is it guys, keep on the great work!

I´ve got a new reverb, couldn´t resist
And yes, you´re right, it´s too loud!

Didn´t change the Tempo.

I prefer the second too!

Nice recording by the way!

No I just layered kick, snare, tom samples in from one of my own sample libraries, cymbals and original drums are still used. Thx, everyone has done a good job with this its fun hearing how different things can turn out.

Hello guys!
I started a new thread with another song.
This time it's an acoustic ballad.
Give it a try!

Better late than never

Damn I'm like a week behind on this post, but man I had to do this song. Just listen to it last night after downloading it earlier in the week. Skidwasted, thanks for a jam that takes me back (old school metal). This song gets me amped ! Panned the instruments, sprinkled in some reverb and delay (guitars) to taste. Second solo has a phaser added (with some chorus also). Nothing panned real hard since I liked the guitars up front in yo face. Feedback welcome.

No worry JC, it's never too late to listen to new ideas!
Yeah, your guitars are right in the face. I dug the punch
Good EQ and compression.
Best wishes!

I noticed this too. I was thinking the same thing --> copy paste.

I'm thinking a way to fix would be to time shift one of the tracks for those sections... but I couldn't be bothered to sit here and edit...

Hi Sport!
I guess the Master volume is too much low.
Besides that, you did a good job!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm kinda new at this, so anything thing I can get my hands on the mix I feel I get a bit better at it every time.

Chosen Ones - Colonal J Mix

Howzit...Skidwasted...sorry for also being late...was bit busy and only got to this yesterday.........AWESOME Idea.....well done...

Secondly, just wanted to add, that the guitars/bass was recorded very clean and solid. Drums was Midi so that was it.....Who ever played these riffs are a great guitarist....I could never play these "hop skip riffs" like this...with some interesting Solo Licks.....Well done on the song.....Would love you to add some vocals to this someday....

Anyhow, here is my mix.

Thanks for the words, Colonal!
Great mix! The drums are sounding cool just add some reverb. The guitars are heavy.
I'm trying to find a vocalist, so as soon as get it, I'll post the finished version.
