Hey Guys, 3rd release from the Obscuresounds sampling project - http://obscuresounds.com/audio/the_swami.mp3 This one is aimed at being a lot more commercial than my previous releases. Some of the audiophiles among you might be able to spot the Chemical Brothers sample. I've written a small supplementary article about the track for those that are interested: Obscuresounds - Media Production & Web Development : Obscuresounds - The Swami I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has regarding the tune. I don't expect it to be everyone's bag, but there might be something in the song that's appealing. It's not mastered, so it might not be the 'loudest' thing ever, but at this stage I'm more concerned about the production... I'm not a mastering engineer, so best to leave that to the professionals. Share and enjoy! |

Ha ha! Hello Lawrence, didn't know you were on here )Well you know I like your work, just thought I'd give this a bump thumbsup By the way, the digital kind of snapping going off in time on left and right, I take it that's a deliberate part of the composition rather than just from the samples? Doing my head in! I have a real aversion to those sounds, probably from days gone by having trouble syncing digital gear |

Haha, Hey TFS... good to see you here! Just doing my rounds on a few forums for comparative comments. Always find this place to be kinda dead in terms of commenting on tracks - but it's a great place for critiques. ![]() You been a regular on this forum for a while? I know exactly what you mean - that clicking sound is dust from the original vinyl. Luckily it's only on the right channel in the stereo waveform, so I'm going to remove the right channel and then have the left side panning around again... damn clicking had me going as well... just havnt had the time to process it out yet. ![]() Quote:

Ah, vinyl.. *reverie* ![]() I'm pretty new here actually, but since I've been working from home I, er, haven't really been doing any work ![]() I'm kind of addicted to this place all ready, it's scary. Yep this section is a bit deserted, but it seems to be the norm on pretty much any 'artist feedback' site to be honest, which is a shame. Keep cranking out the tracks Lawrence, you're one of the good ones |
